Rule notes and caveats

HOW IT EARNS
- All-or-nothing monthly. S$800 of spend AND four different participating
  merchants lifts yuu-merchant spend from 5% to 18%.
- 28,800 bonus points a month, SHARED across all four bonus tiers via
  `cap_group: yuu`. The allowance is counted in bonus milli-units, not spend,
  so every capped month lands on 28,800.00 exactly.
- Everything else 0.5%.

WATCH OUT
- A small purchase at a fourth merchant late in the month can be worth far
  more than its own value. A headline rate cannot express that.
- Clause 9f excludes forty MCCs, twenty of them only "w.e.f. 1 May 2026" —
  DBS widened the list inside the existing document rather than reissuing it.
- Clause 9f matches on MCC and DBS prints none, so exclusions depend on the
  merchant table inferring one at high confidence. An unrecognised merchant
  in an excluded category still earns: overstates rather than invents a
  penalty, but it is a gap.
- Participating merchants are matched on description patterns. A merchant
  that renames itself silently drops to the base rate.

NOT MODELLED
- Whether "yuu Merchant Spend" and "Participating Merchants" are the same
  list. Assumed identical.
- yuu Point expiry.
- Appendix 1's product-level exclusions inside participating merchants
  (services at Giant, tobacco, and so on).

EVIDENCE
- The yuu app posts each month's bonus separately. All twelve months tie
  exactly. Three are load-bearing: Apr Visa 6,091.23 is 667.24x9 + 9.06x9.5,
  which no single base rate can produce; Mar Visa 26,960.84 is an uncapped
  month to the cent; Jan/Feb/May Visa are 28,800.00, the ceiling.

Neither statements nor most app screens print how a payment was made, so most rows arrive with no channel at all. Nothing is assumed unless you say so here — assuming online by default made this card pay 4 mpd on restaurant dinners and six statements read up to 54% above what the bank actually paid. Set it only where it is true of the card. A channel you set on a single transaction always wins, and so does one worked backwards from a statement's printed reward total — that is arithmetic on what the bank actually paid, and this is a habit.“Only rows no statement has claimed” keeps the assumption to the cycle nothing else can speak for — app screenshots of spend the statement has not reached yet. When that statement arrives it supersedes those rows and the assumption is taken back off them, leaving the printed reward total to settle the channel. Use it on a card that prints one; use “every row” on a card where the habit is simply true of how you pay.
